What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always been an entrepreneur and wanting to help people. As someone that has lost a parent at a young age, we realized how important it was to help people plan for an unexpected loss of income.

January 1998

What makes your business unique?
We are a family-owned business that has a special affinity to our community. We have seen lives change for the better and as a local small business owner we know how important it is to have a local advisor that assists you in Protecting What Matters Most.
What product/services do you offer?
Various types of retirement savings products and tax savings strategies such as Fixed Index Annuities, Whole & Term Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance
What inspires your work and what sets you apart from everyone else?
Our inspiration comes from knowing our clients have peace of mind knowing their money will be safe. What sets us apart from everyone else is that we will guide & stay with our clients throughout their lifetime and beyond.
What has been your biggest success to date?
4-time Small Business of the Year Finalist with the Manatee Chamber.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting people to realize that there are options in saving that will help mitigate taxes and grow retirement nest eggs.
If you could go back to the beginning knowing what you know now, what would you have done differently?
Have extra working capital for the first year in business. Also, have a business coach that you meet with weekly.
What’s your best advice for someone who wants to start a business?
Be open-minded to change your initial goals, don’t forget family time, get involved with your community.
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
We have a family cottage in an area of Massachusetts that does not have electricity.
What do you love the most about Sarasota?
The culture and beaches
If I had an extra $100,000...
I would donate to local non-profits that help homeless veterans, hungry children & displaced pets.
Favorite restaurants in town?
Ferraro’s Italian Grille, Anna Maria Oyster Bar
How do you define success?
When a client’s children call and say they are grateful for the assistance we provided to their parents.
What’s the next step for your business?
To continue educating individuals & business owners on how important saving and planning for life’s journey is. Many people do not have an emergency fund and life can be very unexpected. Having a financial plan and a local advisor is crucial.
