What inspired you to pursue your own career path?

Music has always been my greatest passion and expression of myself that I can share and experience with others. I’ve always been drawn to performing and creating music of my own. Even when I tried to separate from my career in music it always brought me right back there are somethings you cannot run away from just because it might not be the stereotypical career does not mean you cannot pursue it and make it your own.

When did you begin your journey in singing?

I joke that I discovered that music was the path for me at 4 years old because my uncle had a recording studio and I recorded my first little amateur cover with him then. However, I truly began to see myself in music more professionally in middle school that’s when I started performing more consistently talent shows, musicals, concerts around town and towards the end of my time in middle school I was signed to my first record label and started recording my EP album with my first original songs.

Do you have a personal slogan or motto that guides you?

One that really stuck out to me was a personal story about reaching your Everest. I witnessed a very inspirational story about the impossible becoming possible when a man that had every element in his life ,every excuse to not pursue his dream to climb Mount Everest against him  but conquered all of them and reached his goal. He continued on to tell this story, which since that day continues to inspire me. He told us to close our eyes and envision our Everest and this stuck with me and continuously pursues  me to follow my dreams no matter how difficult they may seem. It inspired me so much that I even wrote a song about it called Your Everest that I hope to share with you one day.

I am a strong believer in doing what you love and believing in your own talents and capabilities and keeping them alive in your hearts. The first question I ask someone when I’m getting to know them is what were their childhood dreams and favorite hobbies they had or currently have and if they’re still pursuing them. I always see this light flash in their eyes when they recall those days and I encourage them to at least incorporate those into their daily lives even if it’s just joining a local sports team for fun on the weekends. Anything to keep that dream alive and meet others with the same passion for their hobbies.

What sets you apart and makes you unique in your field? & 5. What drives your creativity and distinguishes your work from others?

I think what sets me apart is the influence I have from both my American upbringings and my Polish heritage. I grew up mixed into both cultures both styles of music that certainly differ but in my opinion mesh very well together. I love my time spent here in Florida but also my time in spent in Poland and just learning and listening to people I meet around the world. I have a personal goal to not only make music for others to enjoy and relate too but to set a good example and inspire others. I am a strong believer in inclusivity and learning to understand one another and what brought us to where we are today.  I think my mentality is what sets me apart from others in this field ,in no way discrediting others. However, we are all very similar in that we just want express ourselves through our love of music we just do it in different ways.

I think what drives my work is my love for dance and musical theater. It has a big effect on how I want to represent my music and perform it for others. I don’t play any instruments but a goal of mine is to be able to tell a story through my work both visually and lyrically. I’m still working on bringing these to life on stage and growing as an artist.

What has been your most significant achievement so far?

My most significant achievement thus far is getting a platinum record for one my songs.

What has been the greatest challenge you've faced in your career?

The greatest challenge I’ve faced so far has been patience and understanding that not everyone can see and understand your vision the same way you see it yourself. Understanding that it takes time and knowledge and the right people around you to achieve what you need and patience only  brings gifts along the way. You need to trust that what is meant for you will come when the time is right but you cannot let that discourage your efforts in pursuing that goal.

If you could start over with the knowledge you have now, what changes would you make?

I wouldn’t change anything I think the lessons learned on the way are what make you who you are and life challenges you to make you stronger. I place great value in the experiences I’ve had and who they’ve introduced me too along the way.

What advice would you give to aspiring singers?

Most importantly don’t give up on yourself, always continue to grow , remember that your competition is not your fellow artists. The only person you should be competing with is yourself and don’t be shy to support your peers. When I say competing I ultimately mean to always keep growing. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself and go at your own pace. Surround yourself with people who will build you up and will be there when your feeling low and need motivation but also who will celebrate with you when you’ve reached a new goal but don’t forget to reciprocate that same energy back to them, be part of the team and supports each other. This career can be lonely, don’t do it alone.

What do you appreciate most about Sarasota?

I absolutely adore Sarasota from the beautiful beaches and endless sunshine to the daily creativity and positivity that it radiates. People here are happy, people here are supportive and ambitious and it’s beautiful to witness the abundance of talent that surrounds us on a daily. Paradise on earth is what I would describe it as.

What are your favorite dining spots in town?

I have so many favorites but one of my recent favorites has been Kojo downtown when I’m craving some sushi or more specifically a nori salmon taco. I love how creative they are with their menu and the elegant modern presentation of their restaurant and food.

How do you personally define success?

I define success as something that makes you feel fulfilled and most importantly happy. Success is achieving pure happiness from something you have worked hard and passionately for.

What are your future plans for advancing your career?

I plan on continuously making new music and growing in my field as singer, songwriter, performer and opening myself up for new projects and new ambitions along the way. I don’t like to be too specific in my future plans because I want to let God guide me in the direction he has intended for me. In pursing my goals but also not letting it change me and always allowing me, above all be a good person.

Wishing you a lot of success, Pamela! Can’t wait to hear more of your music soon!
